Eye Screening Camp at Abraj Al Lulu

As part of our ongoing corporate social responsibility initiative we had recently organized a preventive eye #screening camp for the residents of Abraj Al Lulu - Manama. The participants had the opportunity to avail complementary consultation and eye examination by Dr. Prakrati Velury - Specialist Ophthalmology. The eye screening camp attracted an overwhelming response from the residents.

Diabetes Mellitus Awareness

As part of our ongoing CSR initiatives, we had partnered with UCO Parents Care Center to spread awareness about Diabetes Mellitus among the elderly members associated with the organization. The program included Preventive Health Screening and Awareness Talk by Dr. Hamad - Family Medicine.

Movember Prostate Cancer Awareness Month

We recently conducted an awareness talk on Men's Health by Dr. Jaspreet Singh Sandhu (Consultant - Urology) for the employees of APM Terminals.

The month long CSR initiative is organized in support of the "Movember" movement & to raise awareness about men's health, prostate cancer in particular.

World heart Day Awareness

World Breast Feeding Week 2022

To commemorate the World Breast Feeding Week 2022 the Department of Nursing at Bahrain Specialist Hospital conducted an awareness workshop and poster presentation on the importance of effective breastfeeding. Smoke is a silent killer that destroys lives. Dr. Jakeer Shaik - Specialist - Pulmonologist's presentation to APM Terminals Employees was spot-on and relevant, touching on how smokers die of complications from cigarettes such as bronchitis, cancer, and heart disease.⁠

Reduce heart disease campaign

Prevention is truly better than cure. BSH is proud to be part of a campaign that helped reduce heart disease.⁠

We wanted to make a difference in the lives of our family and community, so we took this healthy heart campaign to an ambitious scale at Gulf Petrochemical Industries Co. ( GPIC )⁠

Dr. Abdul Azeez the Interventional Cardiologist gave a talk about “ How to identify & treat heart attack “.⁠

All attendees were given a brief medical health check-up screening for their well-being.⁠

Healthy heart camp in conjunction with SVITZER Bahrain SPC

Bahrain Specialist Hospital conducted a healthy heart camp in conjunction with SVITZER Bahrain SPC on 16th June 2022 at their facilities at Khalifa bin Salman Port in Hidd. Event organized by Bait Al-Hekma Primary Girl School on World Hand Hygiene Day

On the occasion of World Hand Hygiene Day, BSH participated in an event organized by Bait Al-Hekma Primary Girl School.

Fatima Abbas, the dental specialist, provided a health talk with checkups for all students, and Mr. Emad, the infectious control specialist, gave a lecture about proper hand washing methods.

In addition to vital signs, students and teachers were screened.
